Kathryn Juneau
Founder, The Orange Glow Project
Kathryn Juneau founded The Orange Glow Project after the loss of her son, Mitchell, at fourteen months old. In the weeks that followed, her family was told they fell just outside the eligibility of an organization created to help grieving parents. The support they did receive came instead from an extraordinary network of family and friends who held space for their grief with love and honesty.
That contrast revealed a gap. Many families navigate unimaginable loss without a support system of their own. Kathryn built The Orange Glow Project so that practical, personal care reaches families in the moments they need it most, and so that no grieving family has to carry this kind of loss alone.

James Maddi co-founded The Orange Glow Project alongside Kathryn following the loss of their son, Mitchell. In the months after, the two began noticing the color orange appearing in small, meaningful ways, moments they came to recognize as Mitchy's orange glow.
James helps guide the organization's structure, governance, and nonprofit formation, working to build a foundation steady enough to carry the mission forward as it grows. His focus is on turning something born from loss into something that brings light and support to other families.
